Welcome to the DeFord! Nestled in downtown Ottawa, OH, this historic building has transformed into a 7-room self-service boutique hotel. With an emphasis on elegance and style, each of our thoughtfully designed rooms aims to provide a unique and indulgent retreat for our discerning guests.
Our 7 rooms come in three different styles, ranging from standard studio hotel rooms to 1-bedroom suites with full kitchens. We accommodate short-term, mid-term, and long-term stays. Whatever your needs may be - a short weekend stay or a multi-month business visit - The DeFord will be your home away from home.
You may be wondering…what is a “self-service hotel” and how will guests' accommodations be met? Don’t worry! Systems will be in place to make sure each guest has everything they need to have a relaxing and comfortable stay. A cleaning staff will offer cleans for longer stays and guests will have access to extra linens and amenities. We are committed to bringing a superior hospitality experience to downtown Ottawa.

Location: 315 S Main Street Ottawa, OH
Parking: We have plenty of street parking on north and south Hickory Street.
Accessibility: The hotel is located on the 2nd floor of the historic DeFord building. Enter the main door on Main Street and head up the stairs to the 2nd floor. Because of the historic preservation of the building, there is no elevator on site and ADA accommodations are limited.
